Kelly & Jacob

June 20, 2026

If we had it our way, we would gather our closest family and friends to enjoy a night of live music, good food and tasty drinks. Oh wait… it is our way! Head north to meet us in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to celebrate – all we need are your sweet faces and dancing shoes.

Marquette is our home. We met here, went to school here and have developed a community here. We are so excited to host our wedding in the beautiful yoop and cannot wait for you to experience the place we call home.

We hope you love it as much as we do!

This place brought us together, so we had to bring our crew together here for drinks before we say “I do!”

Registry

We are beyond grateful to be celebrating our wedding with you. We appreciate you coming from far and wide to be with us this summer. Your attendance is as good a gift as any, but for those who would like to help us on our next adventure, we have created a honeymoon fund and registry for our new house.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Get Busy and Get Outside

DO

NTN South Trails

Marquette, MI

One of our favorite quick hiking and backcountry skiing spots. Hike up to the top of Mount Marquette for some epic views of downtown and the lower harbor.

DO

Hogback Mountain

Marquette, MI

The longest of the hikes on this list, but definitely worth the trek! This hike will get you to the best views of Lake Superior and the Huron Mountains.

DO

Dead River Falls

Marquette, MI

A classic stop for Marquette first-timers. This hike will take you to some beautiful waterfalls to look at or jump in, if you are feeling adventurous.

DO

Little Presque Isle

Marquette, MI

One of our favorite spots on 550! This spot has one of the best beaches, a cool island you can wade out to (be cautious of currents) for some fun cliff jumping, and access to the North Country Trail, so you can skip some of the more touristy spots and hike up the back side of Sugarloaf Mountain.

DO

Presque Isle Park

Marquette, MI

Unlike Little Presque, this park is located in town at the very end of Lake Shore. You may drive this one-way loop to get a good look at some freighters and the break wall. Feeling adventurous? Stop at the blackrocks pull off for a fun cliff jumping spot.

DO

South Beach

Marquette, MI

Our neighborhood beach spot obviously deserved a shoutout on this list. Normally a locals only spot, but we figured we’d fill you all in! The perfect beach for a quick dip or a full day bake.

Travel

Fly

We recognize that Marquette is not the most accessible location. You may fly into our tiny local airport. Other options include flying to a regional airport like Green Bay, Traverse City or Detroit and driving up.

Please note: there are NO Lyft or Uber drivers in Marquette!

If you do fly directly into Marquette, we recommend getting a rental car, pre-scheduling a Checker Cab, or seeing if your hotel offers an airport shuttle service.

Find Flights

Drive

Arguably the best way to get to Marquette, is to turn it into a road trip!

If you are coming from Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, we recommend getting a whitefish sandwich or burger from Clyde’s Drive-in in St.Ignace and stopping in Munising to explore the legendary Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

If you are coming from Wisconsin, we highly recommend getting burgers from Micky-Lu Bar-B-Q’s in Marinette, then stopping to hike the Sturgeon River Gorge…just remember what goes down, must come up.

Other Info

Wish you could teleport to Lake Superior? Us, too. These are the next best options.

Accommodations

With Marquette being a tourist town, room blocks were hard to come by. We will have shuttle busses running from these two hotels on the day of the wedding. That being said, you do not have to stay at one of these hotel to hitch a ride on one of the busses. Marquette is also home to a lot of vacation rentals for those looking for a house instead of a hotel room.

Asked & Answered

We know this is a big trip with a lot of logistics, so we’ve added some information below to answer questions you may have!

How do we get to the wedding venue?

We are offering shuttle busses to and from the venue. Shuttle stops include the Landmark Inn and Hampton Inn. Shuttles will leave the hotels to head to the venue at 3pm. There will be 3 times throughout the evening for shuttles back into town- 9:15pm, 10:15pm and 11:15pm.

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00pm. We recommend arriving at the venue no later than 3:45pm so that you can grab a beverage on your way in.

Is there a dress code?

Please refer to the “Schedule” page of our site for full details. We ask that on our wedding day that you have fun with it- we love a funky outfit, but ultimately want you to be comfortable enough to have a good time!

What will the weather be like?

Most of you have a good understanding that Michigan weather is unpredictable- there could still be snow on the ground or it could be beach weather. Come prepared to party either way!

Are children welcome?

While we adore the little ones in our lives, we have chosen to host an adults-only celebration with only close family children invited. We hope you understand and to make things a little easier for those traveling with kids, please do not hesitate to reach out, we know a lot of local reputable child care service providers.
